
Gale was only 18 when she was crowned the winner of a modeling contest at the age of 18 in Perth. After modeling for several years, Gale became famous in 1999, when she was chosen to appear in a commercial campaign run by Omnitel, now Vodafone Italy. She appeared in their advertisements until 2006. Gale was also commissioned to the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 as 'their face of Australia and Italy'. Gale graced covers for Australian Marie Claire and Grazia. The actress has also been featured in Italian Maxim and Australian InStyle. Gale was mentioned in the editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia, and Italian GQ. Gale has been a runway model for Milan Fashion Week for Mariella Marani and Angelo Marani as well as Gianfranco ferre, Genny & Gai Matiolo. Gale can also be a devoted fan of numerous Australian designers including Colette dinnigan, Kirrily johnston, Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. The year 2006 was the last time she served as the fashion commentator for the Australian television awards, known as the Logies. Gale announced in January 2008 that she was retiring from modeling on runways after fifteen prosperous years. Just a few weeks later on, during the unveiling of the David Jones winter collection in Sydney, Gale walked for her last time on the catwalk. Her last outfit was her Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear for the recently released film Justice League of America. The film premiered in March 2011. Gale returned to the runway and ended Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival show. Gale was celebrating her 10th anniversary with David Jones in August 2011, the longest fashion contract in the history of an Australian. Gale was a spokesperson for L'Oreal Paris the same month. She joined Beyonce Jennifer Lopez Gwen Stefani. Gale was in commercials on behalf of L'Oreal in Australia as well as New Zealand. She also appeared in Italy.
